Le Mans 3D – the inside story of men who are willing to risk death, again and again, in the hunt for glory on four wheels.
Le Mans 3D is an epic ground-breaking cinema documentary from the talented team at New Black Films. The film which was co-financed by Goldfinch Entertainment, follows six teams and drivers as they battle to compete in the world’s most famous and toughest endurance race.
Focusing on eventual winners Porsche including Formula One legend Mark Webber, the Rebellion team headed by Nico Prost (son of F1 great Alain Prost) and maverick rookies Nissan, with their playstation trained driver, the film unpicks the drama and psychology behind the race, as well as the spectacle of motor racing on a scale never seen before – it promises to push the envelope of what is possible in both documentary and 3-D.
Helmed by award-winning director James Erskine (Building Jerusalem, One Night in Turin) and produced by Victoria Gregory (Senna, Man on Wire), it is executive produced by Alex Holmes (House of Saddam, Lance Armstrong: Stop at Nothing).
Victoria commented, “We expected a dramatic race and we got one. What makes the film, however, are the diverse and engaging characters, this is motor racing with all its glitz and glamour, but also getting down and dirty – the real grit, the real emotions that motivate the drivers, and the challenges faced by their families.”
Le Mans is available to stream on Amazon Prime from 9th June 2017. VUE cinemas released the 3D film on 21st June in UK on 37 screens. Watch the latest trailer here.
