A portrait of an invisible man and an authentic account of homelessness within contemporary Britain, Hector is a powerful character study and a brutally honest account of homelessness.

Peter Mullan, star of Sunshine on Leith and Tyrannosaur,  plays a homeless man who embarks on a road trip across the UK which sees him encounter cruelty and compassion by turns. The film uncovers the human kindness and humour which give hope to those with the hardest of lives.

Hector is the feature debut of writer-director Jake Gavin and is produced by Stephen Malit, producer of Julien Temple’s critically-acclaimed 2012 documentary, London – The Modern Babylon.

As we reported in our previous blog, Goldfinch VII – Hector starring Peter Mullan premiered at Edinburgh International Film Festival and received a amazing response & was even re-screened on the last day as ‘Best of the Fest’.
